The Impacts of 2019-20 Bushfires on the Implementation of Victoria’s Modernised Regional Forests’ Agreements.

In this video Dr Tony Bartlett (ANU) gives an overview of the damage done to forests by the 2019-20 bushfires. Dr Bartlett was involved in the preparation of the original East Gippsland Regional Forests Agreement. He was a member of the Committee overseeing the Major Event Review following the 2019-20 bushfires. Information about the MER can be found here. Uncontrolled wildfire is responsible for the loss of almost 60% of old growth forests since the original RFAs were produced. The Major Event Review Report can be found here.
